American consumers send foreigners fiat currency and in exchange they send us cars and TV's. Remind me why trade deficits are a problem?

You act like American have a bunch of free currency laying around. Foreigners can turn around with that currency we send them and buy us up lock, stock and barrel. A lot of Americans are out of a job, out of a home, in debt and short of currency because of these trade deficits.

Talking the last decade or so’s annual returns vs the negative on this year to date.

He had nothing to do with the prior gains. But he absolutely owns the current instability with this trade war nonsense.

Here's a reason maybe we should use more US steel.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/comp...SQR?li=BBnbfcL

Toyota is being sued for allegedly using substandard Japanese steel and metal in their cars.

Quote:
According to the complaint, Toyota's Prius, Camry, Land Cruiser and Lexus vehicles have all been manufactured with "sub-standard" steel, aluminum and copper.
The plaintiffs allege that Toyota and Kobe Steel both violated federal and state consumer protection laws by claiming that the vehicles complied with U.S. quality standards.
