The message is yah, we no longer owe them Noble Savages any compassionate treatment or assistance.

So I guess we can proceed to dismantling the Bureau of Indian Affairs and its Native Health Service and saving the $10B/year we spend on them, right?
Yes, we commit genocide against their people, steal their land, destroy their culture, tear children away from their families to indoctrinate them into Christianity, and then put up a statue to commemorate it.

Gee, I can't see why that might be offensive to Native Americans.

El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de los Angeles del Rio de Porciuncula is safe because it's Spanish.

The city's Arts Commission voted unanimously Monday to remove the statue, amid cheers from the audience. "It definitely feels like a long time coming," said Barbara Mumby as quoted by the Associated Press. Mumby is an arts commission employee who is descended from Native tribes in California and New York. "I think some people may not understand how big of a symbol it is to be able to take this down."

With the liberals new found purpose of erasing history one statue at a time. Does America have the right to complain when Isis destroys art / history that it considers to be offensive?
Makes me wonder if there could be any statue of a native American that would be viewed as appropriate by the libs in Cali? Maybe one that displays Native Americans as victims?

So take down Drake's statue and erase history:

During his circumnavigation of the world, English seaman Francis Drake anchors in a harbor just north of present-day San Francisco, California, and claims the territory for Queen Elizabeth I. Calling the land “Nova Albion,” Drake remained on the California coast for a month to make repairs to his ship, the Golden Hind, and prepare for his westward crossing of the Pacific Ocean.

If you consider racism to be art, you have more problems than we can deal with here.

Oh, are there some fellow citizens in San Francisco? Hmm, perhaps. Anyway, well collateral damage...too bad for them.

I'm sure someone will miss them. Just not me.
