This is the kind of garbage people are going to try and normalize as "whats coming" in order to try and justify violence on their side of the opposition.
People would be justified in getting violent if the right had won and allowed the trampling of our right to privacy as was tried in the cell phone case.
If people must get violent to protect our Constitutionally acknowledged rights we all should support that.
The left, including several prominent democrat politicians, are talking about wanting to abolish the electoral college and parts of the constitution progressives don't like, but republicans are pushing the country towards A Handmaid's Tale????
The only people that are openly discriminated against in America today with the government's blessing are actually whites. Try to keep up...
If that stopped it would anger a lot of lefties, because if white straight Christian men are not being attacked it is an assault on women and minorities!
What decisions do you hope the SCOTUS enacts/overturns that you feel will be net positives?
Rowe v Wade
Obergfell
In both instances, overturning these rulings would not make abortion or homosexual "marriage" illegal, it would just push the matter down to the states for each of them to make a law on these topics that fits the expectations of the people in those particular states.
I don't know a single conservative who wants to get rid of birth control and they're typically not too upset with gay marriage. No one is going to do any of this stuff. late term abortion is probably gone though.
Late term abortions are less than 1% of all abortions and are generally done because for medical reasons like health of the mother or because the fetus has a condition that will mean almost certain death. Most women don't suddenly change their minds after being pregnant for 6+ months.
I wouldn't mind if Clarence Thomas was traded in for a younger jurist.
You may get your wish; Thomas has openly stated he is considering retirement.
