And because of that it's rare to hear about a bomb killing someone in the US. It makes the national news! Imagine if the national news made this big of a deal every time someone died because of a gun. It would be almost 24/7 gun coverage.
Actually it has more to do with the skill it takes to build one and not blow one's self up in the process.
And if they made national news every time somebody died in a car accident it would be beyond 24/7 coverage.
Yeah, we're not talking about accidents. I doubt these bombs were an "accident", and most people don't "accidently" walk into a school and murder 17 people.
You are right. We were talking about what makes the news. Deaths make the news.
What national news do you watch that reports every death in America?
Death does not always make the news, not even the local news. But something that is rare, like a bomb killing someone, that does make the national news.
A wholly unthoughtful conclusion. That's being polite.
How do you know that the culprit isn't African American?
Even if the culprit is African American, it should still be racially motivated. Basically if the victims are all targeted for one specific thing that they all have in common, in this case they seem so far to all be black, then this would mean in fact these bombings are racially motivated.
They have no clue it was racially motivated. It could just be geographical, I.e., the person lives nearby. Until they catch the suspect, they have no clue it’s racially motivated. If it turns out to be racially motivated, then I will add that to the outrage.
Relax. No one's saying for sure it's racially motivated. Just that it appears to be headed that way since every victim so far is black. So far is looks pretty racially motivated to me, though.
Between the Rangers and the FBI, they'll most likely catch up with the bomber(s) before long.
I'm actually hoping for a premature detonation while the perpetrator(s) are driving to the next intended drop off location. Nothing more I'd like to see than whoever is doing this gets themselves blown to bits in the process. Sort of like what happened a number of years ago in my own neighborhood.
In that case, initially they couldn't even tell if it was a man or woman. It turned out to be a woman. Guess they found the bearded clam among the carnage.
