Nobody thought Obama deserved it and even his supporters laughed it off as a joke.
Personally, I can't complain about drastically lowered standards of once prestigious awards. One of my posts here on C-D won me a Pulitzer Prize.

Which most definitely states to me the reaosns behind the award had little to do with the whole peace thing and more about trying to make a statement.

If that's whta they want to do with it -- that's their choice -- it isn't a public prize -- it's a private committee but it does kind of make it a joke.

Which many Obama supporters and others thought at the time.

Sure there are those that will blindly defend Obama getting it -- because that happens when people choose a team.
