2009-2010: Democrats hold White House, filibuster proof majority in Senate and a 78 seat majority in the House. How much serious anti-gun legislation came from them?

Newsflash - both parties pay lip service to heavy handed gun control because all of them know that campaign platforms with serious "taking away your rights" planks in them are electoral losers. Doesn't matter which right you're talking about, Americans don't generally like voting for less freedom. If you actually pass a law that does that, your name is on that roll call vote and your challenger in the next election gets to correctly point at that vote and say you voted to take away the freedoms and liberties of the people. Thus, it will remain lip service until a majority of the House and Senate decide to commit political suicide all at the same time.

She is 18.

Nothing thus far, precludes her from buying a gun.

No? Seeing friends and family members using it is not harmful? What about your children if you have any? I guess all you care about yourself and NOBODY else.

Who is forcing anybody to abuse guns? In all actuality. Using meth is a personal decision. Being shot by a gun is usually not.

It's all about personal choices. One decides to do Meth. One decides to take another's life.

oh sure, as they are being used by the left. Have you heard what many of them have said when asked why they walked out or what they are marching for? Of course our hearts go out to the kids who were killed and this has to be a hard time to be a teenager, but on the other side most of these kids have not had enough live experience to even understand what they are talking about.

I like how our local school board handled the problems here, you walk out and you will be charged with an unexcused absence. Only a handful chose to walk out. Quotes from most families went something like this: you walk out you will be grounded at home or we can talk about our beliefs and reasons for our feelings at home but you my child need to respect the school authorities.
