It just so happens that their leaders (all 3 are women of color) are friends and associates of Louis Farrakhan, and all have refused to disavow their relationship/association with him, even after his recent inflammatory statements.
Do your research and make sure you know with whom you're associating. Sounds like you and almost all the kids are being used as duped pawns to support a nefarious group.
Civil Disobedience is a time honored tradition. Not all laws are just laws. The way they get changed is by getting attention focused on them. That is what the walkout and the march are designed to do, and we will win.

Maybe you need to go sign up some kindergarteners and nursery school kids too. They've got as much pull and critical thinking skills as many of the kids your tromping around with.

We prefer the term "Weapons of War" as proposed by the Fourth Circuit. It's a much better term, since the term "assault weapon" was coined for rifles with a fully automatic setting, and coopted by the gun magazines to apply to what you like to call "scary black guns", even though nobody is afraid of them. When you guys get your poop in a pile and decide what they are, let us know.

There are kids at my daughter's school who used to attend Stoneman Douglas High School.
Needless to say, my daugher's school had an interesting walkout. Those kids were quite moving as they spoke of their former classmates. I realized plenty of people are harsh enough to think that all of it was fake and that these kids who are protesting are pawns of the "left," but it's not and they're not and to be so cruel to teenagers who fear being shot at school because you're worried the "gubmint" is coming for your guns is just crazy.

Here's the thing, all you've got is some caterwauling vs $$$$$$$$ and that pesky thing called the Constitution.
You realize it's NOT going to work out in your favor right? You'll get some expansion of background checks (whatever the hell that turns out to be), you'll get some further legislation on nuts and guns (even though it's already been legislated) and you may get bump stocks but that's about it.
