"The federal judge who recused himself from the Michael Flynn case is personal friends with Peter Strzok, the FBI agent who conducted the White House interview in which the former national security adviser has pleaded guilty to lying. The friendship between Strzok and Rudolph Contreras, a judge on the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., is discussed in text messages the FBI agent exchanged with his mistress, Lisa Page."

Strzok Friends With Michael Flynn Judge | The Daily Caller

The DOJ redacted the references to Contreras in 384 pages of text messages between Strzok and Page provided to Congress but staffers who read the underlying documents figured it out. This is why the DOJ shouldn't be investigating themselves and the FBI.

I think all of Washington DC is "incestuous." Maybe it is time to decentralize it.

I particularly liked the discussion about how the Judge would not have to recuse because nobody knew they were friends. Also the secret dinner to plan strategy. This is the Judge that signed FISA warrants on the Trump Campaign AND was the Judge in the Michael Flynn case.

"Incestuous" is the right term, "collusion" also fits.

Yes, it's very concerning that FBI agents are secretly meeting with judges.

We all know something was up when Contreras was suddenly recused.

Someone in the DOJ was fighting back after Contreras took Flynn's plea, and began releasing the Strzok, Paige text messages.

Unless Sessions already has an investigation underway, a Special Council seems inevitable.

Swampy swamp gets swampier all the time. Blow up the swamp. Drop a nuclear weapon on it. To hell with "draining it".

Nobody is asking- how the heck do you send that many texts? Did they do anything other than text? Gotta be a record.

The two FBI agents (Strzok and Page) were boyfriend-girlfriend. That would explain it.

It's looking more and more like Flynn was victim of an old-fashioned railroad job. And still they could not get him for an actual crime--they got him for lying to investigators.

It's worse than just "incestuous". It's a conspiracy.

People need to go to jail, but as far as I can tell Jeff Sessions has been on vacation since last March...

Agreed--I thought Sessions really dropped the ball by not going after some of the IRS follies(Lois Lerner, etc).

I'd like to place a bet that Contreras turns out to be the judge that issued to original FISA warrant that allowed them to spy on Flynn. Any takers?
