Various reports indicate trump and/or the RNC is paying his legal fees. But that's certainly not what his tweet implies.

Being associated with Trump is like the kiss of death.
You may have a point, in that anyone on the Trump Team
is likely to be subjected to the Mueller anal probe.

diGenova merely has a conflict.

So, if the wife had a conflict of interest, that does not hinder diGenova to do the job. The wife could just not join the team.

No, it was a ruse, to get his wife to join, so he could bail the sinking ship.

Trump is down to two lawyers.

Jay Sekulow and that other guy with the handlebar moustache.

I'll bet Jay Sekulow isn't feeling so smug these days.

Sekulow is Trump's divorce attorney. His expertise is prenups not counterintelligence.

Cobb at least has experience with organized crime prosecutions and a number of Washington special counsel investigations.

"He was a top investigator examining corruption allegations against Ronald Reagan’s Housing and Urban Development secretary, Samuel Pierce, and he also represented a lawyer swept up in the Iran-Contra investigation. During the Clinton administration, Cobb worked for clients involved in Kenneth Starr’s Whitewater probe."

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...-lawyer-373194

However, optimism seems to be his main asset at this point as he keeps predicting this will all be over by last Thanksgiving, or New Year's at the latest.

Either he is lying to Reuters and Trump, or he hasn't a clue.

Cobb's former law partner is openly urging him to bail before he ruins his reputation.

Trump has a history of not paying his lawyers, including the ones he used to fight lawsuits over not paying contractors and employees.

There is also the Russian money laundering business. What reputable attorney wants to get involved in that?

Having a conflict is like when you're boyfriend/girlfriend breaks up wth you and tells you it isn't you, it's them.

Trump was turned down by multiple top law firms last year. The lawyers don't want the taint of this Russia investigation to smear their practices, nor do they want a client that won't listen to them. The recent resignation of one of his lawyers perfectly illustrates that.

The news for President Trump gets worse by the day. His main guy walks out on him, his top selection to replace that guy rejects him. Oh yeah, the country is aware that he cheated on his wife with a *****

All in all a pretty good Monday morning.
