It's interesting how some of the more virulent radio show hosts are now saying yesterday was the last straw, they're done with the empty suit in the White House. These were people who totally supported him over the last 2 years, shilled for his election etc.
Listen ... I never thought Trump up for the job although some of what he proposed ... less aggressive defense posture resonated. Manufacturing workers who lost jobs deserved a champion ... not that there were easy solutions (and certainly not punitive tariffs) ... mixed personal feelings on immigration. Still ...

So I get that some folks voted for him - and not just against Hillary. That's fine. Don't hate Trump, though I think it irresponsible that someone as unprepared as he ran. Self-knowledge, you know. Personal responsibility.

But for these "virulent radio show hosts" to turn against him NOW is simply because it is compelling listening and brings them more bucks. Those who promote and profit off political dissension are scum.

Heck, even the military complex that benefits from this Omnibus bill at least will deliver a honest product.

I don't think those hosts had a choice even if they wanted one given the listener reaction I heard yesterday was just short of "string him up". I purposely listened to Rush yesterday and he tried to justify what Trump did several times by suggesting that there was some 3-D chess master plan Trump was playing.

That eventually fell to the wayside after the listeners loudly proclaimed they weren't buying it...

"Conservative" in terms of SCOTUS appointments boils down to anti-abortion and anti-gay, but the former is basically all most social conservatives care about.

The 1st and 2nd are under no threat by liberals, and saying otherwise is alt-right propaganda.

If they're not Republicans (what are they supposed to stand for again??), what are they? They're certainly not Democrats. At least Democrats are on the right side of morality and history regarding social issues. Without fiscal responsibility, what the hell do Republicans have left to hang their hat on? Gay bashing?

I know some ardent Trump supporters who still believe he is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. They think this whole mess is just part of his master plan. The refuse to believe that he just what all New Yorkers know him to be, a con man who has shucked and jived his way to power. The entire GOP preached fiscal responsibility while they sat on the sidelines. As soon as they took power they gave away the farm with those massive tax cuts for the wealthy. They then proclaimed the only way out is to outgrow our debt. They now present this boat anchor of a bill and smile in our faces. The party of family values and fiscal responsibility is as empty as the suit heading the party. Those true republicans who called out this fraud were labeled as party traitors. They let this fool high jack their party and they now getting their just deserts. John McCain will leave this earth knowing he was right all alone about this clown. The Trumpaide is getting salty but many are still are enjoying the swill. This just the tip of iceberg for what is coming. The orange buffoon has just started.

There's a 0% chance that you personally know any undocumented immigrants. Your knowledge of those people or the immigration system is 100% lacking, however.

I do think once he was elected he saw himself as the guy who would set everything straight.

Problem is it’s not in his skill set. He doesn’t have the patience or knowledge or capacity it takes to work this system. He can’t lead in his usual chaotic, showboaty, skirting around the rules, “my way or the highway” style and get what he wants. After signing some executive orders and appointing judges he’s tapped out on the things he can do that work within his comfort zone.

Without taking the advice of cooler, more knowledgeable heads around him he’ll just work himself into a corner, while all the other stuff starts catching up with him. The more his circle gets filled with nutty extremists and yes men, the more he’ll run off the rails.

This is not going to be fun at all.
No it is not. And it will be worse as he gets rid of the sane people in the WH and just keeps hiring Fox News people. They will easily manipulate and play to his worse instincts. It would not matter so much except for Bolton. That guy is itching for a couple of wars and now on a daily basis, he's with the guy who said "what is the point of having nukes if we don't use them?"

I think they really are underestimating the public's desire to stay out of wars. They're going to go right in and blow up the mideast. We cannot even take care of the vets we have messed up from Iraq and Afghanistan, and Bolton is ready to go to war with NK and Iran. I think Trump will do it. We're going to see things go downhill until November.

And then we get to the million dollar question. Will the Republicans continue to sit on their hands and do nothing if/when Trump/Bolton drag us into yet another Mideast war? Or will they continue to fear the twit's tweets?

If Fox News reports on it, then Trump will learn about it from Fox News.
