The Republican party is the advocate for the rich and the super-rich. The party takes advantage of wedge issues to split the electorate of working people and consumers, but their main concern is for the wealthy.
No. The republican partys main concern is to ALLOW ordinary citizens the mechanism to become wealthy should they have the ability and choose to do so.
The democrats main concern is to take that away and provide a subsistence living to the masses while stealing all the wealth for those in power.

Alcohol is highly regulated in that area. What makes you think it would be different with drugs?
Drug dealers can make a lot of money selling, they're not going to all of a sudden give that up because drugs are legal. They might have to be more competitive in their pricing, but they're not going to give it up to be a Walmart greeter making minimum wage.
Drug dealers are doing a brisk business selling marijuana.....in Colorado. But, but...
fact..there are over 100 million ar15s LEGALLY out there....and many ILLEGAL too
to ban the OWNERSHIP of such weapons would REQUIRE confiscation
to deny that, is to deny facts
I'm not sure where you get your numbers but I think that 100 million AR-15's is grossly overstated. This site claims that there were 5,672,919 AR-15s sold between 2000 and 2014 and they show the numbers by year and by manufacturer. So even if you were to claim that a million were sold from 2015 to date that would mean there are not even 9 million.Everything you know about AR15s might be a lie - Knowledge Glue
You can ban the purchase and transfer of them and solve a big part of the problem.
yes...I have hunted deer with an AR15...and many other types of rifles...as do thousands of hunters
but.....
The .223/5.56 round is considered to barely on the edge of acceptability when it comes to hunting deer sized game. it is considered underpowered as the 5.56/.223 is a varmint round and is frowned upon because it is more difficult to ensure a humane kill with such a small bullet.....
Personally I like a little larger caliber.
For real? The 5.56 is the round of choice for many native hunters in Alaska. It's an excellent round on caribou and deer. I think too many gussucks don't use it cause their not very good hunters anyway.

You can probably see where I live by looking at the top right of my profile.
Has the black market gone away completely? No. But it's only been legal 4 years.
There as many dispensaries here as liquor stores. The product is much cheaper than it was before legalization, it's cleaner, safer, and sold in clean, bright retail outlets.
Hardly anyone here sells weed anymore. Everyone who wants it goes to the weed store.
Because it is American Made, a darn fine rifle, relatively inexpensive (compare the -10 in cost, for example), just another bag of equipment until needed, easy for accessories, easy to shoot, and probably many more reasons.
ARs are trash. Mini-30s blow them out of the water.
I agree, so if there is no real need for an AR-15 for hunting why should we keep selling them, because they look cool or what?
There are a lot of things we don't "need"... you don't "need" a internet connection so maybe we should just take it away from you.
Naw, I wouldn't do that because I believe people who aren't hurting others SHOULD be free. It's also why I don't loose any sleep over all the ARs in private hands
If because FREEDOM isn't enough for you that's fine... for you. But it's not OK for tens of millions of Americans and you have no business making that decision for anyone but yourself.

Oh? So you think criminals will quit buying, selling and trading AR-15's cause someone passed a law making it illegal? It always works that way, eh?
