Yeah but it along those same lines. Employers can make the rules. An individual abides by it or moves on.

Then, she just dropped a racist bomb on Valerie Jarrett. It was that casual.

Which usually means it's just that comfortable when a person does that.

There was no fight or anything. She just threw it in a tweet and pressed submit.

You think Maher is going to say the same thing for Roseanne? No way, he will just crack jokes about Ambien.
Maher made any difference. The backlash to Griffin was brutal, and crushed her career.
Just as it should. Her stunt was brutal and deserved all the backlash it got.

Same with Roseanne, except Roseanne's tweet was old, plain, everyday racism. It wasn't shocking so much as it was boneheaded stupid.

Both have pushed it to the limit many times, so both should have known very well where the line was, the line that must not be crossed without expecting damage to happen.

They crossed it anyway. Sorry ladies.

The only difference was Griffin hurt no one but herself. Barr took at least 100 people down with her when she lost her job. They didn't deserve that.

You can't be racist against anyone. Not even white people. Look at this example. Professor resigned after using the term white trash.

Rosanne doesn't like the show being run through the P.C. washing machine so what does she do? She types something so controversial/stupid that ABC would HAVE to shut it down thereby letting her off the hook.

Just a thought...

Well...maybe..but her continued whining on Twitter argues against that theory.

Speaking of Twitter, there's some scans of her retweets posted on another forum(did the NY Times saw these retweets?) and one guy mentionned if they fired Roseanne for a racist tweet, why they hired a child molester?

Not ironic, just Roseanne being Roseanne.

What is ironic is when President Obama was still in the WH, no one questioned whether or not Ms Jarrett was Black.

As a matter of fact, many people now trying to deny her Blackness, argued then that she only got the job in the WH because she was Black. (Iíve been on this board a very long time.)

Much like Roseanne, no point in expecting rational thought from some people.

It's not just the Jarrett tweet. The ones to Chelsea Clinton were pretty bad. Spreading a vile debunked myth.
