Kudos is to them for standing on principle!

Roseanne apologized - said she was going off twitter - then 2 hours later was back on with some anti-semitic comment.

See the difference?
Roseanne barr is jewish, ringo.

I was also small, bookish (albeit I played sports too) and nerdy, so that didn't help matters either.

Now, I am make a distinction between being a low-lifer and being working class. There is a big difference between the two. I've met working class people who aren't low-lifers, who are good people. I've met low-lifers who came from middle-upper class homes (in college oddly enough).

But I do think about Roseanne and who she appeals to. She is appealing to those who are crass and nasty for the fun of it. She is appealing to people who would have bullied me back in high school and middle school. This administration, the cultural precedent we're seeing, some of this hearkens back to my adolescence and the kind of kids I dealt with.
Sorry you had to go through that, the thing is I am sure you weren't alone I felt the same way but I played football and while others consider me a "jock" ...I never did.I felt like you did.

My thing is, you disagree with someone of an opposing political mindset, and this is the first thing you can think to say? Even if she called her an idiot or something I could see as being typical from both sides. The ape thing was just something an inbred lowlife would do.

I'm afraid this cancellation business is going to put a dent in her show's ratings

She's not, but Roseanne hasn't exactly been a role model or beacon of virtuousness. Her show did well with the cucks of the Republican party because she said what they wanted her to say, regardless of the fact that Roseanne Barr, of all people, is not who I want held up as some kind of icon of the right. She's not a Conservative, anyway. Wasn't too long ago she was a deep seated hateful liberal, but now that she likes Trump, all these Republicans decided she was great. Have they forgotten every nasty thing this lady has done?

If they had a great show this year, good for them. I don't have tv anyway, but if I did, I wouldn't be watching "Roseanne". I get no joy out of watching a family of poor people on tv have scream fests and arguments over the stupidest crap ever.

Roseanne is, and has always been, gross and obnoxious. If ABC wants to canx her sitcom, that's their prerogative. Roseanne's free speech rights have not been violated.

So Jimmy Kimmel is able to spew out extreme Trump hate every night, and that's OK to ABC. Yeah because of Iger. The extreme far left CEO of Disney.
