Facebook thinks it knows whether you're liberal or conservative: Here's how to find out

Facebook thinks it knows whether you're liberal or conservative: Here's how to find out | Fox News

Explore the Fox News apps that are right for you at Apps and Products | Fox News.

Further down in the article it describes how to change the Way Facebook has you listed without your knowledge!

I just removed almost everything that was in the list without my knowledge. Most likely there is a small printed disclosure that I didn’t read but thanks to the article I now know.

Even on my phone it was an easy fix.

#deletefacebook

So this company, helps tear apart the European Union and gives you a philandering idiot for a president and now that you can click a check box, all is forgiven. OK

Why did anyone doubt for even a minute that Facebook's only purpose was to monitor your activities and harvest and peddle your personal habit and information? This was obvious to anyone with a brain from day one.

Eh how is this different than any other company? You can remove all of that crap from your Facebook but a)I don't use Facebook that much. I barely look at it so it doesn't make any difference for me b) you'll still be tracked somewhere else
I hate there are ads as much as the next person but we can't get rid of them. They are everywhere. For example I've been on the Do Not Call List since 2007 but I still get spam callers.

Duh- it doesn't matter what you do on Facebook. They have metrics to figure out your politics no matter what you post on it or don't.

If you're a member, they will figure out your affiliation with no sweat. Facebook will tell anyone for a price what attracts you, repels you, makes you angry or sad, and how much you influence your friends. They know what pushes all your buttons. And since 74% of us are on Facebook, that's a lot of buttons that can be pushed.

Welcome to the 21st century. Facebook isn't the only place on the net selling this info. They're just the biggest. Any forum can use the same metrics Facebook developed for a price.

Any forum can turn around and sell their own metrics, which may be more specialized than Facebook's, using Facebook's tools.

Every commercial website can use them. Every governmental site. If you way to pay the price, you can, too. Just set up a website and have at it.

Facebook always struck me as a site a narcissist would love.
I don't have a account.

I posted this in the Cambridge Analytica sticky thread, but it's pertinent here too. Mark Zuckerberg has been called to testify before three Congressional committees about this. The UK tried to get him to testify before parliament in their investigation into CA, but apparently, he's not going to testify there.
