What needs to be looked at is why are these young men going crazy and going on these killing sprees. Why has law enforcement dropped the ball.

The weapons are not the issue. The issue is the people doing the killing. Why are these young men so damaged? Is it mood drugs they are given at an early age? How can they kill so easily?

Guns are not the problem.
When have we ever run a national trial to see? The NRA pays GOP congresspeople to avoid having an open debate on guns and gun laws. We can extrapolate from the successes in Japan, Israel, Switzerland, the UK, and Australia that banning assault-style weapons and imposing strict controls on guns and their owners will indeed slow mass shootings almost to a halt. All of these countries have violent video games and mental health problems, but as soon as the guns were controlled all of the other problems seemed to vanish as well. Coincidence...?

I've come to believe you're half right. The Moderate Dems don't but the very Progressive side of the party does. Problem is the Moderates are losing out to the Progressive side of the party.

Ask the Governors of NY and CA if they'd like to ban and confiscate all weapons and you'd get a huge yes (If they were honest).

If you have some sources stating facts fthat prove the opposite, I, for one, would love to see them.

Not true. There should be no gun free zones, and there should be armed guards. Also, teachers should be allowed to carry guns (if they choose and are well trained). The NRA has offered solutions and training, but instead is blamed for the problem, which they have nothing to do with. The NRA has developed a data base, but some 38 states do not report to that database persons known to be a risk who should not have guns. (NICS system)

Then we have the failure of the FBI to follow up on reports (as in the FL case). And the failure of the local police in FL was a huge factor in this case.

This is B.S. Nobody is saying "we must accept the slaughter." But the 2nd Amendment must not be blamed for what criminals will do, whether or not that right exists. However, there is plenty of data that shows that more gun deaths occur in states and cities with the strictest gun controls. So, gun control is obviously not the answer. More guns in the hands of law abiding citizens is. When we advertise "gun free zone," we invite these crimes. Weren't all these schools, "gun free zones?" Did it help, or hurt?

Taking away the rights of law abiding citizens isn't the answer, and there is a good reason why the Framers included the 2nd Amendment in the Bill of Rights. Learn some history. It wasn't for hunting. It wasn't even for self protection. It was for the preservation of Liberty of all against a tyrannical Federal Government. The Framers had learned from English history. Our Constitution is based on that history. It's where the Bill of Rights (including, by the way, the so-called "establishment clause" comes from). The Framers distrusted a Federal government. They also distrusted men in black robes (Judges), which is why they made the Judicial Branch the weakest branch with the least amount of power.

And by the way, speaking of the NRA, the NRA is made up of millions of paid memberships. That is, real Americans who support it with their dollars. It isn't just a lobbying organization. They train police groups, private citizens, and anyone who wants to learn how to safely handle a firearm. Their power is in their membership, not a handful of people who run the organization.

How many paying members can David Hogg's so-called "grass roots" organization boast of? His organization is invisible.

You don't realize that the "assault style" firearms banned and then confiscated in Australia include the ones you claim to own? Not to mention other assault style firearms like the Winchester Model 94 and Browning BPS shotgun.

Anybody following the Reddit Account of Hogg that's been uncovered? He's a big fan of malaria but not of college, apparently. He comes across as being obsessed with being a journalist but doesn't have the skills to really excel in that profession.

These companies KNOW who they are dealing with. If advertisers are aligning with folks like Ingraham in the first place, them dropping partnerships with her show/FOX News only after sh@t hits the fans means nothing. They're just protecting themselves more than doing something for the greater good.

He's 17. College will help him learn more about journalism. In addition, real life experience like what he is doing now will help him excel. He's gaining valuable experience each day.

What journalism skills do you think he's missing?

They are disturbing at best, and very alarming. They read like someone who could be a mass shooter. Chilling. He thinks the reason mosquitos exist is to kill humans with malaria. He thinks this is a good thing.
