The justices left intact California’s 10-day waiting period for gun purchases, turning away arguments that the policy violates the rights of people whose background checks take less time. The court also rejected a National Rifle Association appeal and let California keep using fees paid on firearm transfers to help fund efforts to track down people who acquire guns illegally. Both appeals were filed well before the Feb. 14 shooting, which left 17 dead and more than a dozen wounded at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

The Supreme Court has repeatedly refused to expand or reinforce constitutional gun rights in recent years. In November, the court left intact Maryland’s prohibition on semiautomatic assault weapons and Florida’s ban on openly carrying handguns in public. "

The last one heard, defacto reversed all gun legislation.
It reversed the legislation all gun laws are based upon in precedence.

McDonald v. Chicago.

oh really?

But, as it held in Heller, the Court reiterated in McDonald that the 2nd Amendment only protects a right to possess a firearm in the home for lawful uses such as self-defense. It stressed that some firearm regulation is constitutionally permissible and the 2nd Amendment right to possess firearms is not unlimited. It does not guarantee a right to possess any firearm, anywhere, and for any purpose.

The very legislation all gun laws are based upon. The 1934 Firearms Act is based upon those rulings, to set precedence.

It is not a right, if another person, or group of people can decide the arms you may possess. It means I am their slave and MUST DO what they say. My protection is at the mercy of the MASTERS limits.
