So, the truth is a weapon? Slap me silly!

And this is how a lowlife like Donald Trump got elected. You and I look at all of this nasty , ugliness, and we shake our heads. They see it, and they get all giddy. If we think there is not a very deep divide in this country right now, we are sadly mistaken.

Yep. The kids growing up now see straight through the BS about how staying in your lane and not making a fuss will get you that exam/that job/that nice car/that large house and ultimately a fulfilling life. They know the idyllic version of the 1950s that the combined forces of advertising and politicians try to sell never was and never will be. And they've realized that political power is worth having if they want to improve things.

I would be afraid, too.

What I am seeing from these young men and women is so much like what we saw in the late 60's, when kids started questioning some of the stupidity that adults were thrusting on them, like the Vietnam war.

Question: As tens of thousands of black people have been dying in our inner cities for going on decades, where have these enlightened kids been?

Apparently it takes their kind of people to be killed for them to take action?

I'd really like to hear how black people view this rank hypocrisy.

And BTW, most of the people I know have "that job/that nice car/that nice house (maybe not so large) and (so far) fulfilling lives.

Could it be because this is a thread about Hogg and not about the shooter. Try to stay focused, please.

No one mentioned a shortage of wild white rhino's either.

Hogg, Gonzalez, et al, have no interest in blaming the actual murderer nor the failing of all levels of government to stop that murderer....they only want to blame and keep the focus on guns.

7+ years. One has to be at least 25 years old to run for a U.S. House seat.
