Cars are not designed with the intent to kill or destroy... Guns only have one purpose..

ARs and equivalent, yes indeed. Sporting arms, no.

Learn the difference.

If guns made a community safer then we would have the safest country on earth. Yet, we have the highest homicide rate in the developed world.

Whatever you want to call it is fine. If you aren't aware of the topic under discussion, please read the thread. Eveyrone else on it know what we're talking about.

BTW
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5735043/

Nearly half of all veterans own one or more firearms (44.9%, 95% CI 41.3–48.6%), with male veterans more commonly owning firearms than do female veterans (47.2%, 95% CI 43.4–51.0% versus 24.4%, 95%CI 15.6–36.1%). Most veteran firearm owners own both handguns and long guns (56.5%, 95% CI 51.1–61.8%); a majority cite protection as a primary reason for firearm ownership (63.1%, 95% CI 58.2–67.8%).
I am perfectly chill, but don't tell me to relax, ford. Would you say that to me if I were a man?

If your data is correct, if half of all veterans DO own firearms, then I can accept that. The rest of you and your draft-dodging "tough guys"? Well, I've already made it clear what I think of you.

I did.

As did many others here.

And while I was in, I carried an assault rifle.
Not an AR-15, which is not an assault rifle.

I did not spend a long stretch of my life defending the Constitution
just to see it trashed by our domestic enemies.

If you don't know what that last sentence means,
ask an Army Officer. Most of them know.

Then I respect your position on gun rights (if you are a gun rights advocate). I can easily accept it. But the others on here who aren't even in the same league as you are? Forget it.
