Sure, he has his right to free speech and to demonstrate and to talk about things, all good...but then he doesn't get special treatment because of his age.

Why do the same people who don't think 18 year olds are emotionally stable enough to own a rifle also think that someone one year younger than that is somehow emotionally stable enough to decide what our rights should be, especially after living through the incredibly recent tragedy that he lived through. Its illogical at best, but most likely just a fact ignored for political expediency.

Some of those "armchair warriors" deserve my scorn,
others have served their country in other ways.

Are you CERTAIN that all of those you call armchair warriors
have never served? Have you checked their records?

I suspect at least one of them (and I won't tell you which
one) to have served, and is just not telling you.

You STILL didn't answer my question.

You know fine well what I mean. Why are you playing dumb? When you were younger, you could have enlisted. Heck, the US has been in almost constant war for the last 40 years. Somewhere in there, you could have served in the military.

She should really know better. And she's paying the financial price for her stupid comments.
We can agree that the tone of the public debate has devolved over the years but if someone is going to participate in it they are subject to the same treatment that anyone else can expect, for good or ill. You want to say the debate itself is getting too personal that's one thing but to say you cannot criticize this specific person because he or she is a ______ then that is something else entirely.

He does not have the right to call me a child killer, and to say I have blood on my hands, when one of his own classmates did the killing, and those he wants to dictate whether we have Constitutional rights are the very ones who enabled the killer.

He opens the can of worms, we will feed it to him.

I didn't say what you can/can't do. You can say whatever you want. Just as she did.

But, AGAIN, if you want to be taken seriously, rebut the issues.

It's not about being personal, per se. It's about being completely irrelevant in ones points. And I'm not even talking about the fact that this kid is still a kid...honestly, if she just debated the issues, there would have been no problem from my perspective.

I am so thankful we have these kids speaking out. The NRA has had the Republican Party held hostage and hamstrung long enough. When you see how much some of these politicians get from the NRA, then you can see the reason the politicians aren’t doing anything. Things have to change and these kids are trying to change the laws for reasonable gun control, Not take guns away from people. No reason on earth anyone needs an assault rifle.
