So far, they have yet to define what an "assault weapon" is. So if they can simply issue an "assault weapon ban", then technically ANY gun could be made to fit the ban, hence making the ban a total gun ban if interpreted that way by a court.

Well, actually they have defined it. Whether or not you agree with the definition is another matter.

So semi auto pistols with a detachable magazine are an "assault weapon" now? Wow.

The entire language of assault anything was made up by the media, and politicians to scare the ignorant public into thinking they are more dangerous than other guns. Totally false. The Left loves to lie.

Maybe you should do a better job of reading. Most semi-auto pistols with detachable magazines are NOT categorized as assault weapons. They’re describing “pistols†like the Tec-9.

Gun lovers try to stretch this into something it is not. For decades, there have been guns that have been deemed illegal, such as sawed off shotguns, but the 2nd amendment was not affected in any way. Just getting rid of assault weapons will have the same effect.

They do love to lie, and use "assault" totally incorrectly. ARs aren't going anywhere........except in my safe.

Unless of course you have a rifle or shotgun that there are full auto versions of.

I guess it's time for lever actions...
