Did Ivanka steal the IP of another companies design? HINT: Because this is what this thread is about.
China did and Ivanka is selling these knock-offs here.

But the new limits also gave a big break to companies in China and elsewhere, which ship cheap, often counterfeit clothes and electronics directly to American homes, with minimal oversight. Because the companies ship individual packages direct to customers, no taxes or duties are levied on their goods — costing U.S. taxpayers millions, and giving yet another advantage to overseas sellers.

Your quote says "Often counterfeit clothes", but Ivanka's clothes are not labeled Gucci (so how can they be counterfeit?). What a poorly written article! Trying to miss-lead the reader!
Anyone can file a lawsuit. Did the plaintiff actually win?
Claiming IP on clothing and shoes is suspect at best.

It is suspect alright!

The luxury brand Aquazzura last year filed a federal complaint against Trump and her manufacturer, Marc Fisher Footwear, for trade dress infringement, unfair competition and deceptive trade practices.
The Italian company said Ivanka Trump “copied nearly every detail” of the brand’s “well-known and coveted ‘Wild Thing Shoe’ from the shape and silhouette to the fringe covering the toes, to the tassel on the heel.”
“Aquazzura Italia SRL, Ivanka Trump, Marc Fisher Holdings LLC and IT Collection LLC today jointly announce that they have agreed to settle their dispute amicably,” the companies said in a joint statement on Nov. 18, confirming earlier reports. “The terms of the settlement are confidential. The parties are pleased to have been able to resolve the matter out of court to their mutual satisfaction.”
A California-based fabric company and Ivanka Trump's brand settled a lawsuit over a coat design, as reported by the Daily Mail. Unicolors accused her brand of taking one of their custom graphic designs and slightly altering it for her clothing collection sold at TJ Maxx. While the details of the settlement were not disclosed, the Daily Mail obtained documents noting that Unicolors claimed ownership rights to the "unique two-dimensional graphic design" Trump allegedly used for the brand's coats.
Ivanka settled because she knew SHE was stealing designer clothing designs and selling them. She would have lost in court.
Either way it was an amicable outcome.
Once again, I ask what China is doing to make things right and come to an amicable outcome for all the IP they stole?
