Yes, I did. The lefty mantra that "illegal aliens are just doing the jobs Americans won't do" is completely false. They're not all just picking crops and scrubbing toilets.

Why? Do they have trouble with reading and comprehension?

In large part illegals are doing the jobs Americans won't do, you really should spend some time on the BLS website and see which jobs are under each of those categories. Are you aware that meat and poultry processing is considered manufacturing? I can guarantee you that most of the illegals working in manufacturing are slaughtering chickens not operating lathes.

Patently false. As Pew Research has proven. Stop parroting false propaganda.

How many of you commenting derision for the poor have been in their shoes? How many of you are speaking from experience?

No, because unless you break down the jobs in each of those categories the list means nothing. As I just had to tell IC, meat and poultry processing is considered manufacturing https://www.ers.usda.gov/topics/food...facturing.aspx

I can guarantee you that of the illegals working in manufacturing at least 80% of them are not machinists.

Me. My first apartment in Chicago would only heat up to 59 degrees in winter. It's all I could afford. So... no... I didn't spew out 4 or 5 kids to get public assistance benefits. Nor did I go on Food Stamps or any other form of means-tested welfare. I worked my way up and out of having to live like that. Why shouldn't I expect others to do what I've done to improve my lot in life instead of just holding out their hands to take money for which I've worked?

Manufacturing isn't even the top category for illegal aliens. In fact, it's rather comparable to the US citizen worker percentage.

look before you leap.....from the link

Quote:
In 2012, fully a third of U.S. unauthorized immigrants in the workforce (33%) held service jobs such as janitor, child care worker or cook, nearly double the share of U.S.-born workers (17%) in those types of occupations. An additional 15% hold construction or extraction jobs (mainly construction), triple the share of U.S.-born workers who hold that type of employment. Overall, 11%, compared with 6% of U.S.-born workers, are employed in production jobs, which include manufacturing, food processing and textile workers, among others.
That is the opening paragraph of the link, meaning you didnt read it.

Funny, but if American's won't do these jobs (according to you) then how come there's a populated field for US born, in each category?
