People that talk about invading NK and regime changes don't understand anything about the situation.
If invasion and regime change are not on the table, then there is very little leverage to get Kim to do anything substantial. I'm not going to say it's a great idea. Thousand and thousands of people would die on both sides. Probably millions (though we always tend to overestimate these things lately). As long as NK and KJU think it's a credible threat, it strengthens the bargaining position of SK, the USA and Japan. If NK is left to assume that we won't do anything but talk tough, I think we once again walk away getting scammed.
Having our flag hanging between the flags of a country run by a cruel dictator is more unpatriotic to what America stands for than any NFL player kneeling.
Sure it does, what has our entire conversation been about? What has happened prior (prior to trumps election) that is not happening now?

Rocket man saber rattled and trump called his card, now they are at the table. Diplomicay has not worked for many many years.....looks like things have changed.

So, you expcet things to happen in a day? Are you going to give it a chance, or are you one of those that expects everything to happen, now?
Sorta the point, and a massive concession, for which we got - what?
But that's not what you said, now is it? Twist words to fit you argument, but here is what you said:

Oh, and we got 3 hostages back....did you forget about that? Or was that not in the initial deal.....
There is no timeline, specifics, or plan given by Kim Jong Un to denuclearize. Kim just left smiling.
Even the far right conservative National Review has a dim view of this summit.
While allowing that something many turn out of it at some point in the future, at the moment:
"There’s every reason in the world to be deeply skeptical that Kim will make good on his commitments to “de-nuclearize.â€
"Why? Because: North Korea has promised to do exactly that — with far more specificity — in the past. The actual paper agreement that Trump and Kim signed is not just worthless on its own, it’s less than worthless given that it literally recycles past worthless promises as if they are new ones."
Having our flag hanging between the flags of a country run by a cruel dictator is more unpatriotic to what America stands for than any NFL player kneeling.
Here's the thing: Maybe Kim will not adhere to the agreement. Then the military exercises can continue. Why are you assuming only Kim can go back on the agreement?
The White House and N. Korea both have a strong reputation for reneging on deals, so of course they will both renege. That is how they negotiate ... in bad faith. In fact, they both have a reputation for rude, insulting, undiplomatic behavior and name-calling. No country in the world would be wise to trust the signature of the USA President.

I really have a hard time understanding the liberals. Trump 'gave up' nothing. Just stopped the joint exercises (they can be resumed at any time) and gave Rocket Man a photo-op. Meanwhile besides the freed Americans last month, we have an unique window for peace.
What's not to like?
As has been stated up thread by others: the mere meeting with the U.S. President is a gift with a ribbon wrapped around it for the thug regime of North Korea.
There is a reason that no U.S. President since the cease fire in the 50's has agreed to a photo op meeting/summit with leader of N.K. without MAJOR concessions/progress ahead of time.
Is it possible that Pompeo will pull a rabbit out of a hat...? Perhaps but very very unlikely.
