I would argue that it is more idiotic to pass judgement on something before first seeing how it all plays out.
Trump lied and told us that the remains of 200 of our soldiers had already been returned. Turns out, none of them have been--not a one. And now NK was a no-show for the talks to negotiate returning those remains--you know, the very same remains Trump lied and said were already here. Now it looks like we might never recover those soldiers, despite Trump's lying bluster to the contrary.
NK has created a propaganda film using the footage of Trump's visit, no doubt ending with Trump respectfully saluting a NK general. What a great coup that was for them, to have an American president showing honor and respect to their military and their Dear Leader.
NK got what they wanted, and it cost them exactly nothing. How much more do you need to understand that Trump got played?
They have made a practice of burning bridges for decades now. This should surprise no one, although it seems to still ... How do you propose to do that?
It's a new administration. Trump was right to try and start the talks off on an optimistic note. Now that Kim is showing he doesn't want to play nice, Trump will likely respond appropriately.

Yep. Trump got played and that was the plan from the start. Trump is such a moron he fell for the whole thing and now will just lie and never admit he was wrong. Its going to be hard to hide from this screw up though.

On an optimistic note? You mean on lies? Because he told us that because of his actions, the nuclear threat from North Korea was over and Americans could now sleep easy. Lies. Not a single thing has happened on that front, and probably won't, given Kim's history.

Do you honestly think Trump has any credibility left anywhere in the world any longer to accomplish anything of substance?

Like a novice Trump has shot his wad. The corrupt and immoral Korean regime got exactly what they needed and wanted: recognition on the world stage (and a reinforced grip on their victim population) and Trump looks foolish.
They have been recognized on the world stage for quite some time, thanks to their nuclear capabilities.
They have no need to reinforce their grip on their population, as they control the message to their people.
Trump hasn't looked foolish. We've lost nothing. Sanctions still in place. Training exercises can be restarted. We're no further behind than before. And we have prisoners back from NK.
North Korean representatives reportedly left U.S. officials waiting at the inter-Korean border Thursday when they did not attend a planned meeting to discuss the return of the remains of American soldier
All those 100+ year old parents of Korean War KIAs will be most upset.

Nah, it'll be spun into fake news. Trump never went to Singapore for the summit. He went there for a golf outing. Fox News will have to scrub their archives.
