BTW, as an aside, Jack and his army of Twitler Nazi bots let posts, like the one below that I found looking up the #Backpage hashtag, stay up while taking down conservative posts or locking conservative accounts for the most asinine of reasons:

Did you even bother to read the tweet you posted? Or would you really rather these women move to soliciting on the streets and in truck stops?

Poll parents and ask how many want their daughters to be career hookers, having sex with 15 different men every week.

Poll parents and ask how many want their daughters to be in a relationship with a man who respects them sexually and stays with them for 20+ years in a monogamous relationship.
Those parents would be just as concerned about their 21yo daughters becoming strippers or porn stars.

Yet as long as the woman's paid sex is broadcasted to the public, it's legal...interesting, that.

Backpage is known for being used by human sex slave traffickers. Hey, if it just saves one life right?

Also, please tell us how posting on an internet site is any different than going to the streets or the truck stops? The women don't know who is visiting the site, who these people really are. It's the same thing as taking it to the truck stops or the streets.

shutting down forums like this is not effective at all, they have just moved their ads to other unrelated boards and cleverly word them, I know this for a fact, as a friend of mine that frequented a prostitute, she ran her ad on Craigslist in the tools section, they know how to word them in order to attract customers and at the same time, avoid police, drug dealers have been doing this on CL for many years.

I knew someone who sold panties. Their ads regularly got removed from Craigslist so they got clever. They’d word it as “used clothing, pants, ties, needs washing”. People Will get around the logistics

You do that by legalization of prostitution so that sex workers are privy to the protections of authorities and can seek them for charges. That enables sex workers to report rape and other violence without risk of prosecution themselves. CA passed similar measures to help minors come forward but stopped short of legalization.

However we are a long way from that and the issue immediately at hand is the degradation of protections of third parties o line via section 230.

Why do you hate capitalism?

Why do you think the State owns peoples' bodies?

Maybe a booth at a job fair for HS seniors so they can get a good overview of this spectacular career *choice* of being a sex worker???

Sponsored by Women's March.

And then an adjoining booth from PP to explain how to get an abortion.

Good gawd. What the h--l is wrong with people???
Sex work is a textbook example of capitalism and the free market. Supply and demand.

Why do you hate capitalism?

Labor is labor. It is a physical act and time devoted to an income. Sex is no different. If you think it is above and beyond that, then that's a personal assertion that some do not subscribe to.

Some forms of labor carry higher health risks and even more dangerous. They are not banned.

The only thing different is personal biases in regards to sex.

One of my close friends is an escort for high end agency that also does promotions and marketing. She makes well about 6 figures income. She is perfectly happy with her place. She is very good at what she does and the agency is run by women who promote safe and free choice.

Your responses contain a lot of speculation. There is a wide array of sex workers and their experiences vary. We should empower them to make their own decisions their own choices... That includes the ability to leave when they no longer want to work or seek help when violated. Rather than keep pressing your narrow view on prostitution keep an open mind and listen to those that live it.

Ps. I am for. Legalized indoor prostitution. I do not support street prostitution, pimping, nor pandering which is on eof the reasons that FOSTA is terrible for sex workers. Without online ads they will be driven back to the streets. I do not want to return back to a time that women worked street corners and pimps controlled them. I worked hard through the years to keep sex workers in my circle working independently out of the reach of pimps.
