China NEEDS our markets more than we need theirs. They have been practicing UNFAIR Trade Practices for several decades, and eating our lunch, and the American workers' lunch in the process. The steal our technology, and reverse engineer our designs. It is about time we stood up to them. It was only a matter of time.

Trump wins yet again!

Take notice, unlike the previous administration, Trump talks tough and people notice that.

Whether North Korea or China, Trump for the win!

BEIJING — They call him “Donald the Strong.” They heap praise on his family. They fawn over his rapid-fire tweets. They have even created an online fan club.

In America, President Trump faces a feisty press corps, damaging investigations into associates and sagging approval ratings.

But in China, where Mr. Trump arrived Wednesday, he has acquired a legion of admirers who hail him as a straight-talking politician and business mogul with a knack for deal-making.

Actually, according to the Peoples Daily, which is the official mouthpiece of the Chinese government, the cut in tariff does not include those countries that are in any sort of trade war with China. So, if trump continues with his threat of the tariffs, then these trade relaxations do not include the US. It is primarily aimed at germany and japan. China’s 2025 plan includes this opening of trade and it was created a year ago. So....not much to do with trump.

You will never find Xi or any Chinese leaders doing what trump does.

The us stole nuke technology from the Germans, specifically nazis, at th end of wwii. France and Israel are the biggest industrial espionage against the US.

This isn't really much of a "Win", mainly because Chinese tariffs were never the problem in the first place.

It's good that Trump has started a negotiation, but it remains to be seen whether or not he knows what, precisely, to negotiate for. China's particular style of state capitalism renders tariffs a secondary concern to issues like foreign-ownership. If American-owned firms still can't operate freely in China, then we havent' resolved much of anything.

"President Xi's remarks do not represent a dramatic departure from existing Chinese policy, but rather a reiteration of the same themes Xi has promoted throughout his tenure atop China's policy making system," said Chaoping Zhu, global market strategist at JP Morgan Asset Management.
