If they identify crimes in those files, that stays with them, if they identify crimes relating to Russia and the election you can see how they could become the focal point of the investigation regardless of who Trump fires. I'm just postulating but in theory that would be a master stroke by Mueller to allow the investigation come to completion. That is just one example of how this could play out.
Even if Trump resigned in favor of Pence and a complete pardon, he couldn't outrun state charges not connected to Russia.

Hmm,

1970s Archibald Cox. 2010s: Robert Muller.

Late 60s/ Early 70s: Nixon pandering to evangelicals and racists. 2010s: Trump pandering to evangelicals and racists.

1960s: COINTELPRO invading Americans' privacy by spying on Americans. 2010s: Campaign consultant Cambridge Analytica invading Americans' privacy by gathering Facebook profile information.

1960s: Political extremists starting riot due to hot button social issues. 2010s Political extremists rioting due to hot button social issues.

1960s: Hatred of hippies and "free love" types. 2010s: Hatred of SJWs.

Sounds like history repeating itself like bad fashion trends.

I totally believe that Cohen would have gotten a loan for $130,000.00 and did it out of the goodness of his heart. But then again, I think I saw the real Easter Bunny a few weeks ago.

Mueller will never be J Edgar. He'd look horrible in a little black dress and fishnets.

Is this a complaint about the search of cohen's office and motel room? Guess the OP isn't aware of the steps that had to be taken before the search could have been conducted. There were plenty of places where the thing could have been stopped - if only there weren't good reasons and backup info to show that the search needed to be done. Looks like the justice department followed the rules here. Not only that, a lot of the folks in the chain are trump appointees. So, no witch hunt claims need be made. bummer, eh?

"There are specific rules that come into play before the U.S. attorney would be granted a subpoena, as outlined in the U.S. Attorneys’ Manual. A section titled “Searches of Premises of Subject Attorneys” details six additional safeguards to ensure that the Justice Department isn’t unjustly violating attorney-client privilege. It applies to subject attorneys — people who are “suspect[s], subject[s] or target[s]” of an investigation."

Please tell us which part of the constitution that Mueller has violated.

Sure.
And if Mueller goes, another will take his place with an even greater mandate to find something.

Get it straight folks;

Mueller is hunting Russians, not Donald Trump.

He intends to dig out the Russians and their faclititors branch and root. That's what he was hired to do, and that's the purpose he is dedicated to.

If Donald Trump is as free from Russian corruption as he claims to be, then Mueller won't prosecute him for anything. No worries.

But if Mueller is fired, his replacement may well not be so dedicated to hunting Russians. He could well become more intent on digging up the dirt on Trump instead. After all, what career builder for any lawyer is there?

Especially when the President just fired the only guy who could have found him free if collusion? Just firing Mueller now would be impeachable in some legal views, as it is interfering in an active and successful investigation. Mueller has already gotten a handful of convictions already, and some of the major players now are awaiting their day in court.

No. If Trump wanted to avoid possible repercussions, he should have fired Mueller long ago. Even he knows it's too late now. Donald Trump might not be all that smart, but he is not that stupid, either.

Mueller has never tipped his hand once. He has never announced a single thing. If he can't nail Trump, he won't ever say he can or cannot.

And he will write his final report. It will be his choice as to whether he will ever implicate Trump in it, but if there is nothing he has that implicates him, he will never mention Trump.

He has served many Presidents and holds the office in high regard and in full respect. Denigrating the current President demeans the office he has always served to the best of his abilities.

Because he is hunting Russians not President. The Russians, not the President, are his only enemy in his investigation.

... and by the way, MongooseHugger, John Hoover's middle name is spelled with an A. It's Edgar, not Edger.

What is sad is that, as trump's personal attorney, cohen didn't have enough money to pay the woman, and had to get a loan... which, apparently trump never reimbursed him for. So, trump stiffed another one. When will people learn?

Yeah, sure. Asif the whole justice department is falling for that, and allowing an unconsititional search and seizure. Yep, this whole thing is a big nothingburger.

Even if somehow trump can believably claim any credit it NK does de-nuke (although, that is really their only bargaining chip, why would they give it up?), he can't just do whatever he wants. You forget, there is still the Constitution, congress, and a bunch of Americans who won't let him.
