It's not just millennials, it's society in general that's so ignorant of history or simply don't care. I remember a video where some people didn't even know what happened on 9/11.

It's the same the world over. This is why we keep repeating history over and over.

On Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day Thursday, Jewish Americans were confronted with sobering statistics based on a survey done by Schoen Consulting, commissioned by The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Nearly one-third of Americans in general and 41 percent of millennial Americans think “substantially less” than 6 million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust, the survey found. Further, two-thirds of millennials surveyed could not identify Auschwitz.

The 6 Million figure included Jews and Non-Jew deaths--so I don't see the issue in saying less than 6 Million Jews were murdered.
4 Million IS substantially less than 6.

You seem to be what she is talking about. Where does your information come from? The Nazis killed 11 million people - approximately 6 million were Jews.

My father helped liberate Buchenwald. he had nightmares for the rest of his life because of it.

I am very surprised American kids don't get hammered with this education in schools. Considering their role during WWII.
When I was in School in Sweden in the 90s we watched videos about the concentration camps as well as other documentaries.
It's was a huge deal.
I been to Dachau concentration camp in Germany. It was horrible.

Yes-you are correct but I was only referring to the holocaust extermination camps, which killed ~4 Million Jews.


There were ~2 Million more Jews killed in other ways during this time-disease, police shooting so both figures are correct depending on context. But yes-the real figure that should always be used is more like 9-10 Million.
