I'm confused here -- maybe Trump supporters can explain it to me.
I thought Trump's position is that Mexicans and Central Americans are "bad hombres" and we need a wall to keep them out, right? So why are Venezuelans "good"? Why are Syrian refugees "bad" but Venezuelans "good"? And I thought Trump's base hated those "Venezuelan socialists."
Why uproot and deport illegal immigrants from Mexico and Honduras -- many of whom have jobs and families here -- but then allow Venezuelans in?
If the people truly are refugees then why not take some in?

It's questionable if Melania's immigration paperwork is fully legitimate. She somehow qualified for an EB-1 visa, which is reserved for people with extraordinary skills like scientists, surgeons, etc.

He’s being pretty inconsistent for sure. Yeah, Venezuela has lots of issues, but I can find similar issues in El Salvador, Haiti or Guatemala...and he sure as hell ain’t thinking about letting any of those folks in as refugees.

There’s absolutely NOTHING happening in Venezuela that isn’t happening in a half dozen other nations in this hemisphere.
I’m fine with taking in refugees, but this seems targeted for no apparent reason. What’s so special about Venezuela?
