Pat is my man on foreign policy. He would be my SOS. Not my President. Rand is my man for that position.

Free men, free markets and free trade iare my guiding principles. But we need to stop being the world’s policeman. It is not in our best interests. Pat is the man who I most trust to bring our troops home from the ME and the rest of the world.

No!

There's just one thing you all need to comprehend!

Human beings are all just another species on the planet. We all are born with certain strengths and weaknesses. We have many more weaknesses than strengths as demonstrated by our continuous repetition of similar mistakes. This cyclical and redundant repetition of frequent error generation is indicative of a very serious intelligence deficit.

Despite our voluminous acquisition of facts and knowledge, we continue to struggle with our collective inability to apply it. This inability appears to be absolutely inextricable from human DNA. Throughout the entire history of mankind, it would appear racism, tribalism, and narcissism are all imperfect mental constructs derived from egotism. The ego, that part of the mind that strives to survive by winning environmental challenge. The ego is like a kitten without its mother. It's born out of ihnorance and the desire to continue life as we know it...

Any perceived environmental threat, signals the ego to respond. However, more often than not, the ego is falsely signaled and we respond almost instinctively out of ignorance. When we respond out of ignorance, it often causes us to rationalize our behavior. It's the process of rationalization that both spawns and reinforces racism, tribalism, or egotism. When the ego produces or constructs ideas or mental images, then we are certain to enter into a world of self-praise, self-indulgence, and selfishness!

Selfishness creates distance between ourselves as both individuals and groups. Distance between individuals in groups often raises curiosity, suspicion, and distrust. Distrust breeds hatred. That's especially so when one group has previously exploited another.

At this point, we should all be familiar with our cyclical nature and NOT continue to travel upon this rocky road of barbaric ignorance...

Our goal should NOT be to Make America Great Again ( it really never was ). Instead, our collective goal should be to construct a greater civilization. A civilization with a more highly educated and skilled diverse populous. A populous free from religious and political propaganda, but deeply rooted in compassion, truth, science, and benevolent technology.

Our purpose should remain that all Americans have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We have come a long way since those words were penned by a slaveowner. We have a ways to go.

We should also follow the advice Washington gave us in his farewell address and avoid entangling ourselves in foreign affairs and not involve ourselves in fights that are not ours. To quote another great American “A Republic, Not an Empire “. No more 9/11s.

The purpose of immigration policies should be to advance the interests of Americans. Importing unskilled and impoverished individuals strains the existing social welfare safety net. In a welfare state those poor huddled masses yearning to be free cannot be accepted in large numbers. Liberal immigrant policies harm low skilled workers who are disproportionately minorities.

I personally benefit from both legal and illegal labor as do most white Americans. My wife of 38 years is a naturalized citizen. Housing, groceries and other consumer goods are cheaper. I don’t ID my handyman.

We should push for tolerance and the melting pot but certainly not cultural diversity. Diverse cultures tend to collide and leave a bloody mess.

So then the your whole narrative about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness doesn't fully extend to others like YOUR handyman.

Apparently, both culture and class distinction is very important to you in the maintenance of your own personal and social identity.

So from what source do you think culture is derived?

Do dominate cultures help shape the subcultures that exist within them?

What types of forces and conditions are required to shape a culture?

The whole idea that certain cultures are superior to others is highly debatable when one considers the preexisting conditions from which they are derived. There are absolutely no existing human cultures past or present, absent of greed, corruption, barbarism, ethnocentrism, egotism, selfishness, needless violence and hostility. All are born out of ignorance, despite their knowledge content.

It would appear that despite what we perceive of as a wealth of knowledge and intelligence, our prodigious degree of ignorance and stupidity always seems to dwarf them whenever developing "culture"....

IMO

Thus far, historically speaking, human culture abhors true civilization.

Well, they did, regardless of who didn't say it.

In the first ~100 years or so of this nation's history, many American Christians believed slavery of dark-skinned peoples of the world was "ordained by god."

So indeed, we were once a "Christian nation" that supported slavery and didn't allow women to vote. Today we are none of those things, thankfully.

Islam is still allowing slavery to flourish around the world today.

And yet the left are the ones pushing to overrun the West with it.

the Islamic State terrorist group reintroduced slavery into the modern world, selling captured women and girls in slave markets for less than the price of a packet of cigarettes.

Apologists for Islamism, like Georgetown professor of Islamic studies Dr. Jonathan Brown provide cover for slavery. In a speech on slavery in Islamic thought, Brown said, “It’s not immoral for one human to own another human.”

He added, “the Prophet of God [Mohammed] had slaves … There’s no denying that. Was he—are you more morally mature than the Prophet of God? No you’re not.”

As a result of the legacy of slavery, there is a great deal of anti-black racism in the contemporary Arab world.

Slavery only ended comparatively recently in the Arab world. In Saudi Arabia, it was abolished in 1962. Yet despite the formal abolition of slavery in the kingdom, the attitudes of superiority persist and are used to justify appalling treatment of overseas guest workers from countries such as the Philippines.

We don't want it here, and we don't need it here.

This is America, so you're allowed to have ridiculous, nonsensical opinions about "the left."

I don't relish the concept of playing "global policeman", but the role has been around since feudalism was displaced by the modern nation-state. Britain's gradual abdication in favor of her American cousins might be viewed as a refinement of the process. This is likely to lead to another "America scares the world" lecture from our European fair-weather-friends, but advances in military technology also mean that we can take a few more insults, kicks and rabbit-punches from the remaining outlaw- and rogue-states without our warrior caste (every advanced nation has one) being supplanted by forced conscription. it's a flawed world, but it's better than what came before.

A pattern more easily discerned in the Social justice Crowd's overuse of the term "right wing" to describe everything among conservative ideas that they seek to demonize.

Though a small nation, two-thirds of whose lands were torn away after World War I, Hungarians wish to remain and endure as who they are.

They don’t want open borders. They don’t want mass migrations to change Hungary into something new. They don’t want to become a minority in their own country. And they have used democratic means to elect autocratic men who will put the Hungarian nation first.

U.S. elites may babble on about “diversity,” about how much better a country we will be in 2042 when white European Christians are just another minority and we have become a “gorgeous mosaic” of every race, tribe, creed and culture on earth.

To Hungarians, such a future entails the death of the nation.
I'm simply not able to grasp why so many European nations are willing, even eager, to accept this current flood of refugees coming from the middle east and Africa. Hungary might be taking extreme measures, but in all honesty, they aren't wrong in wanting to maintain their country as theirs.

We don't face the same immigration issue here in the USA. The illegals coming here are oftentimes encouraged by US employers, who take full advantage of their status as undocumented laborers. And the US isn't accepting them as refugees.

Despite that, I see ignorant, brain-dead assertions every day in this forum from posters claiming that "Dems want open borders."

I live within easy walking distance of the border and can see Mexico from my front porch. The border is much better guarded now than it has been in the past.

Illegal immigration is allowed to continue because the right people benefit.

It's simply another facet of corporate welfare.
