A sign has never disarmed anybody. This isn`t the first time someone has been gunned down at a Waffle House. This server made the mistake of asking a customer not to smoke.
Travis Reinking was arrested by Secret Service in July for being in restricted area of White House. AR-15 used today had been seized after that, but IL law enforcement returned it to his father who gave it back to Reinking. https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/22/us/wa...use/index.html
So wait a minute...
Someone who was arrested by secret service...
For lurking around the white house last summer...
Had their weapons revoked...
Father some how obtained them, and gave them back...
What's wrong with this picture folks?
As I understand it, it’s not uncommon for weapons legally owned by someone with a revoked license to be turned over to family members when the firearms were not used to commit a crime.
Why this dad decided to return the guns to his obviously sick son is the big question. Likely dad did not think his son was all that nuts.
I would like the shooter's father to be charged as an accessory to murder for allowing his son to somehow get his guns back after they had been taken from him.
So much for the idea that “only a good guy with a gun” can stop a mass shooting. This young man is a hero, I wish he was getting the recognition he deserves.
I watched a couple of videos of this guy. amazing person. seems like a very laid back and mellow individual, which makes what he did by disarming this nut just that much more incredible.
How does someone with mental illness able to avoid law enforcement while on foot? I think the investigators should question if the shooter really has a mental problem. Also I read the father gave the weapons back to his son? I think the father should also be arrested.
One unarmed black man can take down a shooter, defuse the situation and no one dies other than the victims murdered by the shooter. However, multiple police officers can't take down an unarmed black man without being riddled with bullets to death.
Reportedly, he returned to his father’s home and put on some clothes before fleeing into the woods.
His father lives in Morton, Il., he went back to his apartment, which is only a few blocks away.
