Can't the NRA just send someone to the store to buy one? Is YETI making all shops that sell their products do background checks to make sure the person purchasing the item is not a member of the NRA?
That's what makes the act Yeti took so self-destructive. There's nothing but downside for them on this. Nothing but self-inflicted negative PR aimed directly at their customer base.
Makes no sense. No company is under any obligation to give anyone any kind of special deal. HOWEVER, according to lefties, bakery owners are required to create custom-order wedding cakes for same sex marriage. How does that same concept not hold true for Yeti and NRA and its subsidiaries? the 2nd Amendment is a Constitutional Right.
Get the point?
No company is required to give special pricing to anyone, but they are required to SELL their products without discriminating based on race, sex, religion, etc in accordance with state and federal laws. I'm sure that YETI is just fine with the NRA purchasing their products in shops for full price, just like everyone else has to do.

How is it a down side to not affiliate your business with any political group? People up thread were fussing about how businesses should stay out of political issues, Yeti is doing just that.

OR
Is the NRA just ticked off that they won't be getting some special deal from the manufacturer?
Ding, ding, ding. It's just a whole lot of whining by the NRA. "Whyyyyyy, whyyyyyyy, whyyyyyy?"

This. It's the NRA Foundation which gets free stuff and under priced products from vendors.
NRA, in turn, gives these products to the attendees of their charity events. The attendees pay for tickets to such events, and/or the attendees sponsor the event for more money. Attendees sometimes but in silent auctions for items and/or buy tickets for raffles. For example, a YETI cooler which was given to the NRA Foundation might be part of a silent auction. The highest bidder might pay $400.
Maybe each ticket holder to the event gets a free YETI insulated cup with an NRA logo, which the NRA paid $8 for, although the retail value is $40. But since the ticket holder gave $100 to attend the event, the NRA Foundation is still making money.

Crap, and I was really looking forward to getting a $600 cooler.
Yeah, you need one. I think it will survive being driven over by a tank or something, which is actually a thing, I guess.
I have a conniption every time I have to spend fifteen bucks to get that Styrofoam cooler at the grocery store on the way to a camping trip, but I'll go to Poughsy's Sporting Goods store to buy the $600.00 Yeti™.
