Interesting recent article regarding border patrol agents .

More than half today are Hispanic .

I’m guessing most support Trump , at least on illegal immigration ?

When the Border Patrol was established in 1924, Latinos were a tiny minority. By 1989, they made up almost 36% of the agency. Now, Latinos make up a little more than 50% of the Border Patrol, according to 2016 data.

This year, 10 out of the 11 people taking part in the Border Patrol citizens’ academy were Latino.

“This is something I know burns inside a lot of the Hispanic candidates — is what do I say, what does this mean, to arrest somebody from my own, maybe my parents’ hometown,” Zamora said. “It’s real simple: It’s the law. It is right and wrong. It is not against any one race or any one ethnic group or any one particular group of people.

Many Latinos answer call of the Border Patrol in the age of Trump

My Mexican relatives have always been rabidly anti-illegals. They came to the US legally.

Dems see it different.
To them a law is a suggestion and one if they don't agree with it should be ignored or another of there own laws put in its place.
They see the constitution in the same way.
They want to change it and choke the courts until they can.

Bingo

Most brown people I know are opposed to amnesty for illegal aliens and support Trumps stand. They of course came here legally, and in some cases have relatives waiting in line to enter this country legally.

Yeah but of course the media never shares their stories . Because it would go against their agenda that Trump is a racist that hates Hispanics and all minorities and that all minorities hate Trump .

There are so many Hispanic Border Patrols because they can usually speak Spanish and that is the primary language of Mexicans trying to enter our country illegally. I'm sure there are many Hispanics in our country that would call them race traitors though because of their tribal mentality that trumps our immigration laws.

Legal immigrants don't like being mistaken for illegal immigrants, so I can see why they won't have sympathy for illegals.

Yeah, so? Who cares?

It’s a good job and it pays well. They’re apparently the guys with the language skills and the balls to do the job. Everyone else is wimping out.

I wouldn’t care if the CBP were ALL Hispanic.

Yeah, a border patrol agent must loves Useless-Wall Trump, right??!! I mean, that's as obvious as all New Yorkers must also love Trump, right?!

Son, things are never as simple as the right-wing like to think.

Texas, N.M. border agents fight union's national Trump endorsement

Quote:
Members of the U.S. Border Patrol union in El Paso on Tuesday will ask their union local to disavow the National Border Patrol Council's endorsement of presidential candidate Donald Trump.

"We do not believe this endorsement reflect the values of the Border Patrol agents that work in this region," said the letter signed by multiple El Paso elected officials. "One of the reasons that El Paso is the safest city in the United States is because of the trust developed between law enforcement and the El Paso community." The endorsement of Trump, who has made controversial proposals and inflammatory comments about women, Muslims and Mexicans, damages the trust that the Border Patrol has worked years to build in El Paso and other border communities, the regional leaders said.
