Bush II was totally unqualified. The invasion of Iraq was the biggest U.S. foreign policy blunder since Vietnam. Economic policy just as bad. Tax cuts for the rich? How'd that turn out? Turned a surplus into deficits.

The problem with this theory is that since Trump's tax cuts the economy has not been growing. The prolonged period of job growth the nation experienced during the Obama admin has ended. Deficits are projected to massively increase due to the tax cuts. Trade deficits are actually getting larger. The stock market has reacted with a correction and huge amounts of wealth have been wiped out.
Just like every other Republican admin in my lifetime, Trump has once again taken an economy that was in great shape and with the deadly combination of tax cuts for the wealthy and increased spending has killed it. The US is now on the edge of another recession and is likely to experience rising interest rates and stagflation soon.
The Trump tax cuts are for 80% of taxpayers, not just for "the rich."
Acting Presidential and representing all of America can unite a country. Trump is textbook on how to divide one. Perhaps his legacy will be to serve as a warning of how fragile our democracy truly is, and for patriotic Americans to never take it for granted.
