People need to think this whole thing through.

It was the Governor of Florida who interjected his newly Catholic self into the Terri Schiavo fiasco. Then got the USA Congress involved.

The people who say as a nation we cannot afford any kind of national healthcare want to keep brain dead people alive on machines. Who decides which people get to live and who gets the machines turned off. The governor of Fl and the Congress got to decide about Terri Schiavo over the husband. Her parents could not accept realty and got them all involved.

Brace New World, ya left out the part about the church sending hundreds of kids to Australia to be sold off as slaves during WW2.
They were kids of moms, married and unmarried, who could not afford to feed the kids during the war. The moms expected to get their kids home when they got on their feet. The moms were told their child died. The kids were told their mm died and off they went to Australia to be free labor.

We are either going to care for our kids or we are not.

Believe me when it comes to the Catholic Church there is so much more I could write, especially when you consider the Church even had dealings with Hitler and Mussolini, both of whom were Catholic and chose to turn a blind eye to so many attrocities. The Churches support of fascism was hardly it's finest hour.

As late as the 90s, the church participated in ethnic cleansing in South America.

In stories like this the pro killing crowd claims the baby is in pain. But we see the baby unconscious or sleeping peacefully. I put down a pet in pain because he was howling and writhing in agony and nothing more could be done..

I put down a pet because he was in a coma and had been dying for over a day.

No one killed Alfie. He died from an incurable disease.

You hear claims that the boys brain was basically liquefied (destroyed/gone) but hes in pain. Do liquefied brains feel pain?

Keeping people on life support indefinitely, with no hope, is morbid to me. I don't see myself as pro-killing. And for the record, in this case, the child was suffering seizures.

Hey there's some saying they sped things up when withholding hydration wasn't going fast enough.
