North Korea's Kim Jong-un crosses into South Korea - BBC News

https://www.cnn.com/asia/live-news/n...a-summit-intl/

Quote:
“Chairman Kim, for the first time in our history you crossed the military demarcation line,” Moon told told North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and North Korean delegation as they began talks. “The military demarcation line is no longer a symbol of division but a symbol of peace.”

“I would like to pay tribute to the courageous and bold decision made by you chairman Kim to arrange our meeting,” he said.

“Over the past seven decades we weren’t able to communicate, so I think we can talk the whole day today," Moon said, drawing laughs from Kim.

Maybe there is some hope here. I am cynical, and Kim is a dangerous individual, as some of his dead relatives can testify. But, I guess time will tell if some kind of progress can be made. The international pressure on him must be kept up, but South Korea and Japanese leaders must be pleased Kim seems willing to talk peace.

Since you live in the US, that would make him our president. Not just mine.

Don't get to excited. Next year, when nothing happens or things get much worse, they will blame trump (rightfully so.)

I hate that I'm so cynical, but it was him crossing into the South and not the other way around. The man is a killer. And he's a killer for sport.
