Isn’t it hypocritical for liberals to move from high tax states to low tax states to avoid taxes?

I thought we need higher taxes. Isn’t that what the liberals are always saying?

Oh. Wait. They meant we should raise OTHER people’s taxes. I got it now. That makes sense.

BTW, I live in a high SALT state, and I am doing better this year with the tax cuts.

They're not moving necessarily for tax purposes, they're moving for the climate. Just like they have been doing for many years now. I'm kind of surprised that this seems like a new concept to many of you.

And? So? Americans are free to move about the country at will. If you don't like that, well, that's too bad.

Of course they are, I never said any different. Just be honest about why.

There have been northern transplant retirees moving south and southwest in great numbers for decades now. Heck, parts of Arizona are almost entirely made up of retirees from other places. You pretending this is a sudden and new phenomenon is a crock. But you already know that.

I did not pretend anything was new so don't attribute views to me that are not mine. People have also been moving to avoid higher taxes for decades as well. I was agreeing with the poster calling out the hypocrisy.

Californians are fleeing to Oklahoma of all places. You can buy 10 acres near the edge of town for $83,000 and less than that if you want to get further out in the middle nowhere.
