Perhaps because despite the ongoing narratives I have seen on most news outlets, the question of weather or not Trump actually knew what that money was being paid to Cohen for is still questionable. Giuliani claimed during the interview that yes, the money used to pay Ms. Daniels was Donald Trump's money and not pulled from campaign funds. However, he also said that the president did not know that the money he was reimbursing Cohen was for paying off a porn star he had slept with years before. With details like this, which are pretty much being ignored in the media, up in the air it only makes sense to wait until more information becomes available. The before you spoke of, she had probably been assured that the information she was providing the media was on the level. But at this point in time, I would say she has not been given the go ahead to discuss the issue. At least, that's how I think this could be playing out. Just trying to be rational, instead of immediately jumping the gun and turning this woman into a villain.

IT's just surprising that after all of the lies prior, then NOW decide to walk it back. One would think that, that would be the default: Wait until you know before going on TV and talking on things that are not confirmed. IT really makes her, and them, look bad.

How can anybody take anything Trump says seriously. The world is watching America tear itself apart because they voted for a man, Trump, who seems to be incapable of telling the truth.
Mitt Romney described Trump as a pathological liar, ****** and fraud, and he was absolutely right. It just makes me wonder how people who have, and still support Trump, can go on doing so, the guy is an utter disaster.
How could world leaders possibly have serious talks with Trump, when they know that they can't take anything he says seriously.
