We must recall that in early March 2018, President Trump assured Mr. Cobb that he was not contemplating firing him:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/19/u...stigation.html

"Mr. Trump has weighed aloud in recent days to close associates whether to dismiss his lawyer Ty Cobb, who had pushed most strongly a strategy of cooperating fully with the special counsel investigation. The president reassured Mr. Cobb that he had no plans to fire him, according to a person who spoke with the president late Monday, in part to prevent a narrative that his team was in disarray after The New York Times began making inquiries."

I had said that Mr. Cobb is 68 and so may have just decided to retire. However, if there were discussion about his status in early March, seems that Mr. Cobb would have informed the President of his intentions at that time.

As for Mr. Flood, nothing has been made official yet.

Out with the old in with the new.

Not the first time that the president’s advisers have considered a job for Mr. Flood, who worked in the White House counsel’s office under George W. Bush and represented Vice President Dick Cheney.

Rudy Giuliani will be outside lead lawyer and Food will be lead inside lawyer.
You want to be taken seriously yet you call and investigate that has lead to subpoena's and indictments and jail time .....as fake.I will post a link so you can catch up on what you call phony.

Its been reported and confirmed Flood is hired. But who knows he may have a conflict we don't know about yet.

For a fake witch hunt, we certainly are seeing a lot of indictments and plea deals.

I'm surprised Flood agreed to represent trump. I believe he was asked last year and turned it down. Well, at least with the money coming from trump's re-election fund and all the morons still sending him their money, he knows he'll get paid.

Taxpayers are funding Ty Cobb and his entire WH staff. Taxpayers will also fund Flood and his entire WH staff. They are government employees.

Don't worry. They won't realize it. (A requirement to be a Trumper.)

As with all Trump words and promises, they are as substantial as the air into which they are spewed.

Trump's lawyers and contractors had a hard time getting paid when he was a private citizen. Good thing for Flood he's got the taxpayers guaranteeing his pay.

There is a difference between knowing what you are commenting on and parroting some uninformed source or pundit.

The job of an inside counsel is to protect the interest of the Office of the President.
Not to protect Trump which is the job of the outside counsel. Its that difference that makes Flood an employee of government with an office in the WH.
