News organizations get stories wrong sometimes. That is just the nature of the beast. NBC reported that a source told them Cohen was wiretapped, but were corrected (probably by the source) that Cohen was "monitored" but not necessarily wiretapped - an easily distinction to miss. They corrected their report within a few hours.
Real news organizations correct their errors when they discover them, which is why they have credibility despite the occasional misreporting. Others never correct their errors, which is why they are garbage sources for "news". I credit the media when they come clean to admit their errors particularly since it bolsters my belief in their veracity when they stand by their reports.
Despite what anyone tells you, admitting to making a mistake is not a sign of weakness, but sign of strength.
In journalism corrections are a commonplace. Journalists take their own credibility seriously, which is why they will correct when they discover errors.
In propaganda corrections don't happen, the mistakes are ignored and papered over ... moving on to something else. Alex Jones would fit this category.
I don't have a problem with a news source correcting itself, it shows integrity. There is no reason to assume it was a deliberate deception, their main goal is viewership/readership to keep advertising rates healthy. Being a reliable source of information is important in achieving that goal.
If you want to talk about fake news, let's talk about the National Enquirer. Fake sports? Professional wrestling.

Aren't you suppose to verify your sources? Ever notice that the majority of main stream media news sources will have a huge article then in the middle of it. It says "unconfirmed news source" or reliable news source. This allows the writers to manipulate the news very easily to their agenda.
As well as this . Lets say someone was watching NBC and seen this news story .... they get the story.. believe it ...turn the tv off .. well lets say they dont watch the news everyday ..Well by the time they get on a TV again..This story is gone and buried and the mistake is yesterdays news... the recipient of the original news source would never know.

When the story broke my initial reaction was "something isn't right here". It's well documented in the Cohen wiretapped thread. One would think that someone somewhere at NBC would have had the same reaction and sought to verify the story before running with it.

Alex Jones doesn't get it wrong as much as these guys do.
But you won't give him the pass, you will afford your comrades
Sad, when the MSM as to correct and retract more Fake News than Alex Jones.
Dunno if you noticed this but Alex jones falls into the category of political entertainment .... at least he isn’t owned by a handful of global corporations

You couldn't count the times Jones has been wrong if you were a centipede...
