Good that they caught him.

Funny that people who call themselves 'republican' are the biggest threat to our republic.

Well, she used fake addresses and different variations of her name in several occasions. She’s just as guilty.

I'm not familiar with D'Souza's case, but according to Wikipedia, he was also charged with causing false statements to be made to the Federal Election Commission. That doesn't appear to be the case with O'Donnell.

The article didn't say fake addresses, I believe it said five different addresses.

So if she owns or works in five different locations, you're not allowed to use those addresses? You can't use different variations of your name? Sometimes I use my full name - other times I use it with a middle initial, sometimes I use a shortened version of my given name. There's no law against that and it doesn't look like she was trying to conceal anything in doing this.

No -- she didn't use 'fake' addresses -- she has different addresses.

As for different names

I have a name with an apostrophe in it. It gets changed/modified whether or not I put in the right way or not.

For example,
O'Donnell
O Donnell
ODonnell
Odonell
.....

And it happens all the time when you have an apostrophe and a name that people refuse to spell correctly no matter how many times you type it in correctly, etc.

If there is wrong doing she will have to suffer the consequences. To suggest she get the same as someone else who did something different.

Kind of an odd request.

Memo to Rosie O'Donnell: Liar, liar, big pants on fire. Using five NYC addresses, and four variations of your name, exposes YOU as the culprit--not ActBlue.

They apparently were all made through the same organization so any issues with that should at the very least be consistent. I'd be willing to bet there is variations on her first name included in that list.

Not familiar with the other case but based on what has been posted here they don't seem completely comparable. That said, come one....

I receive political donation appeals all of the time, several a day.

I have filters to dump them all into a dedicated folder. I do read them though, on occasion. Sometimes I want to send money and they get a few bucks, but I am not keeping track. If I went over some limit it would be hard for me to know, I don't watch it that closely.

Certainly I have never conspired with anyone to get around campaign limits, I never asked that anyone take my money and donate to any certain campaign. I suspect O'Donnell is just doing likewise, except that she has a lot more money than I do.

I think this is exactly what happened, but that doesn't make good press.
