Oil went to $150/bbl under Bush. It slowly declined over the course of Obama's eight years and now it's skyrocketing again. Whenever we have a Republican in office, oil executives and defense contractors are always taken well care of at the expense of everyone else.
Naturally most people are okay with this if it means sticking it to Obama and the liberals.
