America is not going back to church. Our current moment in history is the last gasp of an ideology on its way out. I think it's time that the left becomes more outspoken against the theocracy that conservatives want to impose.
Why should I care? I believe we have something called "freedom of religion," which in my estimation includes being non-religious.
And besides, what is this "theocracy" you are referencing? Is the Inquisition about to be reinstated? Well, I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it.
I'm as irreligious as you can be, and have solidly supported Trump from the beginning. There's no end to the straw-men dancing around the minds of the left.

We are in the last days. Many shall fall away.. then destruction . Man without God will destroy themselves. Satan comes to kill , steal and destroy. Many follow Satan today. Secularism is a religion , a belief system putting man before God.

Democrats/liberals live in a very narrow world-view indoctrination bubble. It is quite alarming
when you see what they post and actually believe here and witness their ignorance when interviewed by conservative or independent journalists. I believe it is the consequence of liberals controling our complete education system which recently has dropped to one of the lowest in the industrialized world.
