He's never been an honest broker in these talks, and he played Trump and his administration like fiddles. Now, because Trump legitimized KJU as an equal, KJU wins because that's what he wanted. Those who were ready to hand Trump the Nobel Prize without understanding the situation and who really believed that KJU was going to simply abandon his nuclear ambitions with no huge strings attached are complete fools who haven't learned anything from the history of those relations.

Still not seeing how Trump was played. He hasn't actually given anything yet. As for as legitimizing as an "equal", that could change in 2 minutes with a tweet.

Actually it shows who wants to work on a resolution and who doesn't. The U.S. (Trump) will be there to work on such a resolution. N. Korea isn't interested.

A thread full of Trump haters embarrassing themselves.
As well as three American detainees released unharmed by the N. Koreans.

Kim can see that doing deals with the US is a chancy proposition, at best. Then you add in Donald Trump and Bolton. Bolton..the architect of the Libyan deal..who has openly advocated military intervention in NK. Who has said that a Libya type deal with NK would be ideal.

Kim is an enemy of the US--that being said..what is his incentive to deal? What does he get? Relief from sanctions? For how long?

Kim would be far better served cutting the US out of the picture and dealing direct with South Korea--aiming for reunification and a comfy retirement. That would serve US interests as regards the nukes..and..would put a potential thorn in the side of China.

I doubt he's that sane...but dealing with two liars..seems to me to be a doomed proposition.
I believe that may be Kim's plan - drive a wedge between the US and South Korea so he can begin his takeover of the whole peninsula.

Despite the fact that real leaders don't run policy by tweets, the Trump administration painted KJU as a willing participant and equal in the negotiating process to end their nuclear ambitions. His supporters have been everywhere proclaiming that Trump was able to negotiate that end and proclaiming that he brought peace to the Korean Peninsula, and Trump and his people were patting themselves on the back for it- all before anything actually happened. They sent the SOS, among others, and Trump himself was going to have talks, putting KJU in a position of equal leverage. They completely legitimized this guy. And now, perhaps inevitably, KJU is pulling back and embarrassing the hell out of Trump and his people.

Trump's had an awful week in foreign affairs.

But we were told by Trump and his supporters that this was all already wrapped up, that peace was coming and Trump was directly responsible. So is he the dealmaker or just another pawn in KJU's games? It can't be both.

Really? Not knowing how names work in Korea makes it impossible to speak on how anything else works there? Aren't you the superior one.

So what? Trump has shown he is willing to negotiate not just use force. Nobody has said it was a done deal.

Not even sure what the demtards would have Trump do? They had the last 8 years and did nothing. Trump talks tough and they say he is not giving diplomacy a chance and getting us into a war. He talks diplomatically and they say he is being played by a liar regime.
