Perhaps, but I think that tribalism and identity politics have taken over both political parties. Political debates have been reduced to mudslinging contests rather than serious discussions about policy. So, are people really voting for "ideas"?

Not really. The Cubans perhaps but most Latinos in our country are mostly of Mexican and other Latin American descent and they overwhelming vote Democrat.

Just look at her latest statement where she is still keeping herself in the media as the Trump opposer while reaching out to Latinos to try to start on her 2020 run.

DNC also consolidated power and is packed with Hillary supporters.
