When you let over a million illegal illiterates across our borders every years, it tends to warp the percentages.

We'll never cure poverty until we stop importing the worlds illiterate lower class who add little to our society.

Very interesting article and yet so many in the politics section on this board continue to argue for more power to the wealthy more tax cuts fewer regulations. Its almost as if the natural state of lightly regulated capitalism is a return to feudalism.
No. Stop giving handouts to the poor and force them to be productive. Stop letting illegals stay in our country. Throw out the DACA's. Give incentives for people to have only one or two children. Having more than two children should be taxed.

Taxing the wealthy more isn't the solution.

Tax corporations? Absolutely not!

Why should they pitch in for the infrastructure they use constantly, and educated workforce, access to the U.S. market, ... ?

They should get a free ride because ... why exactly?

In CA, the goal for most is now is to get a government job and once gotten, take as much from the state as you can before it collapses. Once you retire you then get the hell away from the state (Idaho or the like) knowing it's just a matter of time before the collapse. Hundreds of thousands of people are doing this

That's the future of this whole nation, which is why it's doomed in it's current form.
Well I grew up in the NYC metro area. Myself and my friends benefited from a good education and ecomically surpassed our parents. None of us are pets.

The constant BS about "handouts to the poor" is just ridiculous.

The biggest government handout is to the military industrial complex.

Eisenhower warned us about that.

Well its either except that the wealthy have a responsibility to society or go the way of Brazil. Personally I would rather pay more taxes than have the wealthy live in little enclaves surrounded by favelas but thats just me. If paying less tax is more important to you so be it.

Your paying for it one way or another I think we should at least give them a small level of dignity you on the other hand would rather them starve or rot in prisons.
