Imagine that... The US taxing British royalty in perpetuity...
No, they won't. The children can declare citizenship themselves when they reach their majority.

Well; like it or not, the U.S. can take some pride in the fact that a mixed race marriage within the Royal Family being of less shock value (for lack of a better term) due to the American people having elected Obama to the Whitehouse.

To what extent that factored into today's event coming off without the attendant "second guessing" that would have been 'front and center' les than twenty years ago cannot be measured, but it's a fact nonetheless.

Incorrect. Read US Nationality Law, specifically subsection (g).

(g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years

We get enough bad news in this country, it is nice to see something positive for a change. The Royal wedding is a nice diversion from some of the ugliness we see every day.

It also shows the Brits are more accepting than we are, a mixed race couple is being celebrated, whereas we found every reason in the book to dislike when we had a black family in the WH.

The children retain the choice to accept or reject citizenship. My husband was born overseas. I know how this works.

Well stated, it is nice for once to see something pleasant even if its a diversion for only a few hours. They seem happy and in love, best to them...

Guess again. Such children are US citizens unless a renunciation is accepted by Fed Gov. And FYI, there actually are US citizens under age 18 who must file 1040s and pay US income tax.

Nice of them to show their true colors.
So the idea of a mixed race Duchess of Sussex triggered you?
