The President and Rudy have been acting very strange lately.
Yes, I love this quote:

Giuliani: 'Our recollection keeps changing' on infamous meeting

That is espionage and an act of treason.
Only Congress can question the Presidents actions and act accordingly.
The Presidents very own office, can never be used to investigate itself.
The FBI, DOJ, CIA, IRS, EPA... and on and on are all part of the executive branch.

Congress is the oversight. Not a spy(Mueller) from within.
Did you ever hear of Nixon or Clinton?

Won't entirely work. From what I've read, Mueller has shared evidence with prosecutors in New York, Florida, and Virginia, and there may be others. If Trump pardons all of the federal crimes and stops the investigation, Mueller will hit the kill switch and indictments will start flying in the locales where crimes may have been committed.

If Trump is charged with money laundering in New York, his assets will be frozen until the case can be adjudicated. I don't know what the laws are in other states, but I am sure they are similar. Manafort and Flynn will most certainly face state charges even if they are pardoned. If Manafort has agreed to cooperate, it could be the last link. He of all people knew first hand what went on in the back room.

My guess is, Manafort has decided to cooperate with Mueller, and Trump was told.

Hard to know to be honest, but it would explain this mornings twitter freakout.

Manafort has tried his hail mary attempt at getting this dismissed. His lawyers probably told him it was a low probability thing to try, but he did. And Manafort is in between a rock and a hard place. He has state charges coming without a federal deal, and he knows it. Those cannot be pardoned. So by now he is recognizing that Trump cannot save him. His one full court shot just missed. Its time to give up.

Manafort has been caught sending encrypted messages asking witnesses to lie.

This not good.

If Manafort has indeed been tampering with a witness he has opened himself up to new charges.

and it will also taint his character in any courtroom he enters...

It is my view the only reason Manafort would hold out is if he is being threatened by Putin and Trump, he might well be trying to avoid getting poisoned or protecting his family from such stuff. The dude has blood on his hands and is up to his neck in crimes. a "deal" is his best chance to not die in prison.
