Nelson Cunningham, who was a federal prosecutor under Giuliani, thinks that Manafort will change his plea to guilty after his appeals are exhausted and make a deal with Mueller so the doesn't spend the rest of his life in jail. His business partner and his son-in-law have already done so. If he does, where will that leave Trump?
Things may stand to get really interesting in short order.
Mueller requests 150 blank subpoenas in Manafort case
Special counsel Robert Mueller is asking for 150 blank subpoenas in the case surrounding former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
The request would cover 75 potential subpoenas for witnesses, according to the Washington Examiner, which added that recipients must appear on July 25 to testify.
The request for the subpoenas was filed Tuesday in Virginia, where Manafort resides.
Is, maybe, if, coulkd should, might be whatever words you want to use.
To me it is a waste of time deal in such unknowns.
Wait until it HAPPENS instead of "projecting" what MIGHT or might NOT happen.
Yo won't be disappointed so often!
As I said, things are staring to get very interesting. It's time for Manafort to put up or shut up. He still could swing either way, depending on his perception of what Putin might do to his family.
Mueller Reveals Memos on Manafort's U.S. Lobbying for Ukraine
Prosecutors from Mueller’s team filed two memos, one written by Manafort, which they say document how he directed efforts to influence U.S. lawmakers and media in favor of then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
The memos further undermine Manafort’s assertion that the pro-Ukraine lobbying was limited to Europe. That makes it likely they will play a central role in Manafort’s trial in Washington beginning in September on charges that he failed to register his foreign lobbying with the U.S. Justice Department, and that he laundered some of the proceeds. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...ine&yptr=yahoo
Manafort has less than a month before his first trial. The pot is beginning to boil. It may blow, and it may cook him. His choice, and his alone. He's done either way.
