The Donald has mastered the art of "one step forward ...two steps backward" in regards to trade negotiations with the Chinese. I wouldn't be surprised if he offers ZTE a tax write-off to get back in their good graces! Oh those poor laid-off Chinese workers! Maybe they could get together with the unemployed West Virginia miners and produce coal-powered cell phones!
It's an open secret that Europe, China, and Japan export to the US through Mexico as well. I'm not sure what why one would say that China would be easiest There are a lot of holes in the international system. One feature of TPP was to allow Japan to export more products to the US through other Asian countries with which the US currently has bilateral trade agreements, thereby surpassing existing restrictions..
No one has ever negotiated a deal for the American worker. Trump could fail and still win.
